5. PoorBoys – Nattys Carnauba Paste

One of the more affordable waxes on the market is PoorBoys Nattys paste. It was one of my first waxes I ever used and served me well for many years before I decided to try different brands.

Nattys paste is easy to apply and easy to buff off and gives a great deep glossy finish without leaving marks or streaks, perfectly suited for someone that wants to cut their detailing time down.

Not as big of a name as other brands like Auto Finesse or Meguiars, but PoorBoys deserves a better name for themselves as all their products give all the right moves. You can really tell the difference in the finish between this and other brands.

The beading after a coat of Nattys is fantastic. It also comes in several colours if you want to improve your gloss, but we recommend just sticking with the clear one because it really helps show the metallic side of your car.

4. Auto Finesse – Carnauba Wax

One of the top, well-known brands, Auto Finesse really know their stuff when it comes to car detailing products and their wax is no different, they offer it in several different options coming in at different prices.

  • Passion – Vintage Paint Types
  • Fusion – Hybrid Car Wax
  • Illusion – Show Car Wax
  • Essence – All Around Car Wax
  • Desire – Ultra Durable Car Wax
  • Soul – For Light Colours
  • Spirit – For Metallic Colours

Depending on what you’re planning to do with your car, each one has a different use. So if you are really wanting to show off, illusion is a great option or Spirit. If you just want a good all-rounder, essence is a perfect wax for you as it’s affordable and works the paint well and still gives good beads.

Auto finesse is a bit more expensive but they are great products.

3. Bilt Hamber – Double Speed-Wax

Winner of the 2018 Auto Express ‘Best Car Wax’, Bilt Hamber pump out great products consistently. At affordable prices like their wheel cleaners, their wax offers brilliant finishes for a great price.

It’s easy on, easy off formula makes waxing even the biggest cars easy as pie. It’s even been described as “the best wax” some people have ever used. It is definitely up there and I would say it’s probably on par with the next one, but we had to order them.

Another great factor about the Bilt Hamber is if you get it on your black plastic or rubber trim, it doesn’t leave marks and easy buffs out. Another top-notch product from Bilt Hamber!

2. Juicy Details – Podium Show Wax

There’s no joke about it, we promote Juicy Details strongly because we believe in their products as one of the best to come out of the detailing world. Real detailing products made in the UK by real detailers. Whether you are a novice or an expert, Juicy Details offer the best products for everyone.

Podium show Wax is one of the best waxes you can get for a brilliant deep glossy finish, perfect for those show seasons at a fraction of the cost of the Auto Finesse Show Wax. This retails for around about £25 and in our opinion, a better shine than women of the bigger brands.

They also offer other products for paint protection, like their Spray Sealant and if you have a wrapped car, a wrap wax, to keep your wrap nice and well cared for. Just check them out in the banner below.

1. Meguiars – Ultimate Liquid Car Wax

Our favourite car products to date are Meguiars. Years and years of brilliantly customer service and offering genuine value for money and products that actually work, means Meguiars wins our vote every time.

Their Ultimate Liquid Car Wax is our favourite wax and unlike the others, is made out of a synthetic polymer, meaning it can be a simple hand wax or you can use a machine polisher to get the best results, both give the best results.

It’s 10-15 minute cure time means it’s quick to work with and offers great protection without leaving those horrible white marks all over your trim.

With thousands of 5 star reviews and at a low price, it makes sense to give it a try and if you want to use a dual action polisher but don’t know which one to go for, check out our post on how to use a dual action polisher.

Overall

All these products are fantastic, give great finishes and we have had no problems with any, the ones that didn’t make the cut for the list, we either haven’t tried or didn’t believe they were worth talking about.

Our favourite go to products of all time have to be Meguiars and Juicy Details though as they both have an edge on the market, Meguairs because they lead the market and Juicy Details because they are the best new guys on the block and have risen over the last few years.
