Life is tough. There’s no two ways about it and it’s just getting more overwhelming. The everyday pressures are getting on top of us all, from mild stress to full-blown depression. The current increase in depression in men in the UK has led to some serious heartbreak and it’s time to take action.

We at Boost And Camber have been affected by it, not only directly but indirectly and even though the title says men’s depression, it’s women too and something needs to be addressed in order to help the poor souls that don’t feel they can speak out.

If you or someone you know has been affected, keep reading and I will tell you our plan to help people all over the world. Because it’s OK not to be OK.

It’s Ok Not To Be Ok

The current believed number of people with depression in the world is 300 million. The majority, myself included, have and are suffering in silence. It’s hard enough to feel a way and not be able to describe it, but to feel like a burden every time you want to mention it is the hard part.

You may put on a brave face and go on your daily lives and make it seem like everything is OK. It’s OK to feel that way, infact, any way you feel is OK. Every emotion you feel is normal and you will get the positive ones back in time, just take each day one at a time.

What helped me to overcome depression and anxiety was to not let my mind focus on negative, start doing something else to take away from the pain. Write, read, exercise, little bits each day, then remember that I am a success, just as you are. Remember the last time you succeeded at something, however small. Take the successes and remember you are living proof you can do anything. We all put one leg in our trousers at a time,

Just remember it’s OK and you will be OK.

We Have All Been Affected

In some way or form, someone in our lives has suffered with depression and possibly gone through crisis. It’s more common than you think and even though everyone knows someone, we can sometimes feel powerless to help. It’s something only the victim can pull themselves out of.

But what can we do?

We can be there for them, be a shoulder to cry on, be company when they need it, text or call just to say hello. Keep in touch when you say you will. Sometimes they might not want your company but you can’t be offended by this, the anxiety part might be stopping the interaction side.

Just be a friend / partner or even parent, do what you have to and be there for them. Failing that there is help out there, like the people of the calm zone. They offer support for anyone affected by depression or suicide.

If you are one of those people though that is helping someone deal with their emotions, I understand it is tough, just keep doing what you’re doing, you’re doing an amazing job. It might not feel like it right now, but you are.

The CALM Zone

As mentioned, the CALM zone is an organization dedicated to helping people with all walks of problems. Whether your a man or woman, stressed or depressed, their phone line and web chat is there to help. It is their job to get you through the tough times and advise you on what your next steps are.

Although they are offering so much these guys need help with their funding and Boost And Camber are going to back them all the way to help people get the treatment they require.

We’ve setup an incentive that every magazine that is bought through our links below, the profits that we receive at Boost And Camber will be directly sent to the CALM zone. 100%. Every last penny. We believe if we help at least one person get through their struggle, we’ve made a start into helping thousands more.

If you are interested in looking into the charity we are sending ALL of our profits too, the link is here.

Magazines Heal Minds

Reading is a fanatic was to engage the brain, you fire up areas of the brain that might have prevented you from being happy in the past. They help to engage you in things that might interest you, such as cars for an example. Either way, magazines are a perfect way to take your brain off of the negative.

Pocket Mag is a company we are partnered with in order to help succeed in our goals to helping others. For every magazine that is sold through one of our links below, 100% of the profits we make at Boost And Camber will be sent to the CALM zone.

These magazines all vary and there is something for everyone, they even have a monthly subscription option available. Meaning you get a fantastic magazine to read which you chose yourself, helping your own mental state. In return the money we make goes to CALM.
